o Ashburn Graphic Designer Launches Independent Music Site
Ashburn, Va. – Mary Adkins, the founder of Ashburn-based graphics design firm GraphixStation, has launched a new web site focused on the independent music scene. The free site, called SeeJoeRock, provides artists a platform to showcase themselves and their music, while also giving industry professionals — such as promoters, managers and venues — a way to find new talent.
Adkins, who has been involved in music nearly all of her life, said the idea came to her after watching an episode of American Idol, and realizing just how much undiscovered talent really exists. “I wanted to give musicians a place to showcase themselves in every way possible, from posting their bios and photos to their MP3s and videos,” said Adkins.
